Sydney Aquarium
My 2nd-to-last day in Sydney began with rain. Lots of rain. I never had any desire to visit Sydney’s zoos or aquarium during the year, but after snorkelling in the reef over spring break, I’d been wanting to check out the famous aquarium. Admittedly, if it had been nice and sunny out, I wouldn’t have gone… but the weather was gross, and I preferred to stay indoors.
The aquarium was decent… smaller than I expected, but nice. I saw 2 platypuses flight, some tiny seahorses, and some little penguins. My favorite part was the shark tank, where you could walk through this tunnel that ran through the tank, with sharks and rays swimming over and around you. There were reef sharks and other sharks, and some sting rays and cods. It was awesome.
