Mosman & Cremorne

Today the weather was absolutely perfect. It was a great day to be alive. So I took Aristotle with me [or at least my craptastic notes for studying for tomorrow's exam] and caught a bus to the North Shore. I walked all along the harbour, through Cremorne Reserve and along a wooded pathway lined with mansions and benches. All these mansions had steep stone stairways leading up to them, which I personally think is so cute. And then I sat at the tip of Cremorne with a perfect view of the harbour: skyline, Opera House, harbour bridge, with the suburbs and other smaller bays on either side. Glorious.

Mosman That's the life

I love how there are sometimes pools built right on the shoreline, so that it looks like the pools are actually IN the harbour, but they’re sheltered. I passed one on my walk and it looked like a nice place to sunbathe, what with the skyline directly in front of you. Oh, and I also walked by the prime minister’s house in Kiribilli, but the gates were manned by 4 cops so I walked on passed it. The yard looked spiffy though!

Musical performanceAnd then I crossed the harbour bridge, wandered around Circular Quay, and caught the start of the “Markets by Moonlight” in The Rocks. Some of the stalls normally set up for the weekend daytime markets were there, plus some stands selling food. I watched Jenny Morris perform a few songs, and I actually enjoyed it. Had it not been for my hunger pangs and guilt for not having studied all day, I would have stayed longer. But alas.
