Engagement Photography | Julie & Ben | Upper West Side, NYC

Ohhhhh, this is a special one.

I really love shooting people I know. If you’re a good friend of mine, you can likely attest to this fact as you recall the numerous times we’ve hung out where I pulled out my camera and made you hold that pose “riiiiiight there” so I could snap a few shots. Maybe I even pulled out my tripod so I could get a shot of us together… and perhaps I told you to tilt your head down or make a funny face. And you obliged because, well, you’re awesome – which of course is why we’re friends in the first place :D

I don’t think I ever quite subjected Ben to my snap-happy habits until now, but back in the day there was many a night spent hanging out at his apartment playing Rockband, where I certainly polluted the air with my overzealous singing and less-than-stellar guitar playing. Not only did he put up with it, but he’d also make me coffee at midnight when I was dragging. That’s a good friend right there.

So I thought I’d return the favor and take some awesome engagement photos of him and Julie :)

We traipsed around Central Park to the spot where they got engaged [insert *awwwwwww* here ;)], Shake Shack where they had their post-engagement celebratory cheese fries, Joe The Art Of Coffee where they often frequent (which btw is one of my go-to coffee shops when I’m in Manhattan), and Riverside Park. They were their silly, movie-quoting selves, and I was along to document the ride:

Portrait Photography | Sneak Peek: Shannon & Nick | Brooklyn, NY

These two were just begging to be photographed together – and I do mean that literally :P

My sister and her boyfriend came down from Boston this weekend to visit me, and we spent Sunday afternoon wandering around Brooklyn. Yup, this photo was taken in Brooklyn – Prospect Park, to be exact. I have many more images just oozing with cuteness like this one, but you’ll have to wait to see the rest!

(and no, they’re not quite engaged yet – don’t worry, Mom!)

Engagement Photography | West Village, NYC | Sneak Peek: Cora & Matt

I had a blast hanging out with Cora and Matt the other night. You know why? 2 reasons:
1). they’re so chill, and
2). they love to laugh

And that’s really all I ask for in a solid hangout :D

No but really, it was awesome. They’re awesome. And I think this shot right here is pretty awesome:
