About five minutes before Tricia & Tom’s engagement shoot, it started to rain. But with the Williamsburg Bridge beckoning, we couldn’t *NOT* cross it as planned (you know me and bridges!).

And so we frolicked across the bridge in the rain, umbrellas in hand (yup, I had my umbrella in one hand and camera in the other!), and had ourselves a blast. Tricia and Tom didn’t even seem to be bothered by the weather, which made this engagement session so much fun. Check out these super-cute shots we got!

Tricia & Tom’s engagement shoot got rained out last weekend. Go figure it started to rain about 5 minutes before our rescheduled shoot began this past weekend.

But you know I can never resist a good bridge, and we were standing right at the pedestrian entrance when the rain began, so it just seemed silly to call it off.

And so we traversed the Williamsburg Bridge in the rain, umbrellas in hand. Here’s a peek at what we got up to:

I had such a blast shooting Jill and Tom last fall. Not just because they are beyond awesome, but also because we did something a liiiiiittle different than the typical engagement shoot. If you know me, you know that a). I’m not *typical* in any respect, and b). I love to be active. So imagine my delight when they suggested shooting at the San Gennaro festival. Picture street vendors, carnival rides, and Italian food out the wazoo and that’s how Little Italy is during this event. Throw in a jaunt through the Village en route to the festival and that’s a prettttttty ideal day in my world.

Engagement Photography | Brooklyn, NY | Shannon & Nick

First, let me preface this by saying that Shannon and Nick are NOT engaged! (you hear that, Mom?) However, they had an engagement-type shoot when they came to visit me in Brooklyn this past fall. I felt it was only fitting to finally post some shots from it, since they just celebrated their one-year anniversary :)

Oh yeah, did I mention that Shannon is my darling sister? She and Nick live in Boston, but are looking to move to Brooklyn in the very near future. Which I am over-the-moon excited about, because I could always use more rock climbing / biking buddies. That, and I also wouldn’t mind benefiting from Shan’s stellar cooking/baking skills.

Engagement Photography | Anna & Abhi | NYC

I don’t post black & white images too often, much less an entire shoot in black & white. But I was really digging the set I processed for Anna and Abhi and thought I would switch things up a bit on the blog here :)

Speaking of these two, they are pretty much the cutest. They came to the shoot with lots of creative ideas of their own, which made for one fun collaboration session. I always encourage this sort of input because a). It’s a surefire way of putting more of yourselves into the images we’re creating, and b). It keeps you engaged (in more ways than one!) in the session.
