More About Me

nyc wedding photographersbrooklyn photographerbrooklyn wedding photographersI LOVE being physically active, especially outdoors. When the weather’s good, you can most likely find me walking, biking, or running around the city. During winter, I hula hoop and rock climb instead.

I’m a summer girl, through and through. I live for warm, sunny days where I can be outside at all times with a tank top and flip flops. Someday I’ll live in a place where it’s like this year-round :)

It’s rare for me to go a day without coffee, dark chocolate, and hummus. Mmm antioxidants and protein.

I like to dabble in cooking (only healthy recipes), painting (only abstract works), and journaling (only while traveling). What can I say, I have very particular interests!

Speaking of travel – I *love* it. I know everyone cites travel as an interest, but for me it is WAY more than that. It’s a mindset – a way of life, if you will – that has helped define me. Some of my awesome travel adventures include:

  • Hiking a glacier in New Zealand on my 21st birthday
  • Sleeping under the stars in a swag in the Australian Outback
  • Skipping my college graduation to backpack around Italy by myself for 5 weeks
  • Partaking in a 5-day fire festival (Las Fallas) in Spain
  • Completing the Everest Base Camp trek in Nepal

I don’t read as often as I should, but when I do it’s usually a murder mystery. Draw from that what you will ;)

I also don’t worry as much as I should, but I’m ok with that. I never sweat the small stuff!

I’m the worst at relaxing and doing nothing. Massages? Resorts? Lazy Sundays? I can’t even handle it.

I am nontraditional, energetic, a wee bit nutty, and fiercely independent.

If I had to coin a life philosophy, it would be along the lines of: fill your life with things you *want* to do, while minimizing the things you *have* to do. I’m convinced it’s the secret to happiness, and someday I’m going to to write a book about it!

What do I *want* to do? I want to travel the world and photograph awesome people who dig what I’m about. If that sounds good to you, send me an e-mail and let’s chat!
