I'm Lindsay! I love travel, coffee, cats, running, long walks anywhere... and of course, photography :) For NYS 2010, Lauren and I attended the ‘Transmutation’ party by Winkel & Balktick, held in a secret warehouse in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. I got us comped tickets in exchange for taking lots of photos at the event… which of course I’d be doing anyway, so that worked out rather well!
Now, it’s pretty difficult to properly explain this event to anyone who hasn’t experienced it themselves. The best way I can describe it is by saying it’s akin to Burning Man, except on a much smaller scale. Let’s just say I was probably the only sober person at the party! It was a colorful and somewhat overwhelming night, but I’m glad we went. We got to hang out in a tent full of rose petals, hula hoop in the dark, and gawk at all the ridiculous costumes. It was quite a night, that’s for sure.
